Shannon graduated from the Queen's University physiotherapy program in 1988. Her career began in Ottawa at the Rehabilitation Centre and later with a private neuro home based practice where her love for treating neurological and complex movement conditions blossomed.
She has extensive training in the Bobath/NDT concept, PWR moves (Parkinsons Wellness Recovery), and provides educational support for the Stroke Network of Southeastern Ontario.
During her career, she has accumulated vast experience in the areas of neurological rehabilitation, palliative care, dementia care, respiratory management and falls prevention, all in the home environment.
Shannon continues to find joy in her work helping clients progress towards their goals and achieve their full potential.
Outside of work, Shannon enjoys being active outdoors, camping, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Gord are getting used to their three young adult children being independent and look forward to traveling in the future.
