
Maureen is a licensed physiotherapist with over 33 years professional experience, primarily involving the adult population. She began her career at the London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario, specializing in orthopaedics, vascular surgery and rheumatology. Upon moving to Nova Scotia, Maureen joined NS Health where she gained expertise in various clinical areas, including acute care (ICU, general medicine, cardiology), rehabilitation (neurological, musculoskeletal) and ambulatory care (cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation).
Over the past 10 years, Maureen has worked as a Community Physiotherapist with NS Health and she brings her knowledge of optimizing client independence and function to her new role at PhysioCare at Home. She has a special interest in senior's health and wellness, as well as palliative care.
When not working, Maureen enjoys family time, exercise, dancing and travel. She is an active volunteer with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog program, and she volunteers weekly at Halifax Hospice, together with her dog, Cookie.
