Laura Stewart, Community Development Leader / PT – Victoria

Laura Stewart graduated from McMaster University with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy, and Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, including the Seniors’ Health and Pain Sciences divisions.

Laura enjoys treating a wide variety of clients, but finds it particularly rewarding helping the aging population regain or maintain their optimal level of health and function. Laura believes that physiotherapy is a partnership, and prides herself on taking the time with her patients to ensure they fully understand their injury and proposed treatment plan.

Laura takes great pride in her role as therapist and educator, and has a firm foundation in current clinical research and evidence based practice. Her client-centered treatment style is a combination of exercise, education, manual therapy, acupuncture and dry needling, and other pain-management techniques.
