Kristen Playford, PT – Victoria

Kristen graduated from the University of British Columbia (UBC) with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999 and a Masters of Education in 2008. She worked for many years at a private practice clinic in Vancouver where she gained valuable experience with many clients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. Kristen has enjoyed improving her knowledge base through courses in orthopedic manual therapy, core stability training and acupuncture.
Recently, Kristen has developed a strong interest in client and health education. Her interest in education has allowed her the opportunity to teach the physiotherapy assistant (PTA) students at Vancouver Community College as well as working for the IEPEP program at UBC.
Kristen lives in Victoria with her husband and two young children where she enjoys the relaxed atmosphere and the natural beauty. As a health educator, her goal is to assist in improving quality of care and function for her clients and keeping the senior population active.
